Chelsea’s new owners serious about midfield rebuild

Chelsea’s midfield is in anguished need of a revamp. At the moment, it is aging and lacks many elements that any midfield of a team who wants to challenge at the very top should have.

Chelsea’s new owners are

apparently fully aware of this and are conducting a serious midfield

remodel in the next couple of transfer windows.

News has derived from nowhere over the last 24 hours

concerning Chelsea going hard to try and sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. The rising star has just had a superb World Cup, helping win it with Argentina, and now he is the subject of transport intent.

Chelsea looking like they are willing to dop over £100m on signing Enzo, really does show just how serious the club is now about rebuilding the midfield, something that is needed.

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are no closer to registering new deals as of now, and there has even been current talk that both will leave in the season as free

envoy and Jorginho might even leave in January, conforming to one report.

Exchanging Enzo for Jorginho would be a

special move, and if Chelsea can then add one or two more midfielders to the

series over the next couple of windows, that would go a really long way in helping them with their climb back to the very top.

The midfield is the most significant

location on the pitch, and Chelsea’s has just grown

rancid and has needed a

renovation for some time. I’m so gratified that our newly determined owners are prepared to do this.
